Chemical peeling is a procedure involving the application of one or more chemicals that cause acceleration of cellular renewal. Its immediate and visible action consists of (shallower or deeper) exfoliation of the skin, while the long-term effect causes skin regeneration and the production of new collagen, as a result of which the skin becomes moisturized, without wrinkles. However, discoloration stains and other defects will disappear.
- It can be performed (after choosing the right scrub) at any time of the year, on all skin types and on any part of the body
- It is fast and simple
- It can be performed on an outpatient condition, does not require hospitalization
- In most cases painless
- Immediate effects: the skin looks healthier, brighter, hydrated and tense
Aging of the face skin due to sun exposure (photoaging), thin wrinkles and facial wrinkles, pigmentation spots (age discoloration, melasma, freckles), skin lesions (acne, keratosis, dryness), flaccidity, stretch marks, scars, enlarged pores.
The choice of peeling depends largely on the phototype of the skin, as well as on other factors such as skin preparation, sun exposure and patient expectations. The best candidates for the procedure are people with white skin, blond hair and bright eyes (low phototypes), due to the lowest risk of hyperpigmentation.
Do not use creams with retinol the evening before the procedure. If you apply such a cream, please inform us before making a peeling.
For 7 days after the procedure, do not perform strenuous exercises.
Avoid exposure to the sun for 3-7 days after the procedure and apply adequate sun protection.
The effectiveness of medical peeling depends on many factors, such as knowledge of the substance used, characteristics of the treated skin (phototype, thickness, ethnicity, hypersensitivity), formula of each substance (concentration, pH), time of skin contact, etc.
The peeling can be used at different depths of the skin. The greater the depth, the greater the stimulation and repair of the skin, but also the greater the risk of complications.
